INTRODUCTION

KEY POINTS

  • Tinea versicolor can be localized or widespread and most commonly presents on the trunk but can also present on the face.

  • In lighter skin types, it tends to present as pink to salmon-colored scaly patches, while in darker skin, it is also scaly but can vary in color from being hyperpigmented and gray to hypopigmented.
