INTRODUCTION

KEY POINTS

  • The types of cutaneous rosacea include papulopustular, erythematotelangectatic, phymatous, and granulomatous rosacea.

  • The papulopustular subtype and granulomatous variant are reported as more common in skin of color.

  • This condition is often underdiagnosed and undertreated in skin of color due to increased melanin often masking the erythema and flushing seen with rosacea.
