AB The  chin  is  a  protrusion  of  soft  tissue  overlying  the  distal  point  of  the  mandible.  Superiorly,  it  is  bordered  by  the  mental  crease,  and  inferiorly,  it  merges  into  the  neck.  Laterally,  the  chin  merges  into  the  jawline.
