AB SUMMARYTwenty-nail  dystrophy  is  commonly  used  synonymously  with  trachyonychia.There  are  two  varieties  of  trachyonychia:  opaque  and  shiny.It  is  commonly  associated  with  alopecia  areata;  it  can  be  a  symptom  of  nail  lichen  planus,  psoriasis,  or  eczema.
